A View into My Dining Room

I feel like every time I write a post I have to start with the list of what has kept me away so long... I'm not the best at keeping a regular Blog schedule....Facebook however is a different story! And Instagram has finally gotten ahold of us too! There is something so much easier about posting a pic and a mini sentence or rambling thought.

I have however moved the shop from St Marys, GA to Fernandina Beach,FL into part of the Historic Beech St Grill which means I got the bottom part of my house back (WOOHOO!!!) and I have been working on getting things back together. If you came in you will recognize this room where the jewelry was~
My  beautiful entry table got a paint job and some of my fave blue willow finally came out of storage. It's nice to be able to look at all the pieces again, pieces that I have collected, received from my mom and also from my aunt as a wedding present.
This is where the clothing rack used to be and now it's back to my dining room cupboard and this gorgeous 1930's muslin horse I bought in January at the Mt Dora show. I actually saw him in December and couldn't decide if I should buy him since I wouldn't consider selling him but as fate would have it he was only 3 booths from me when I got there in January! I love him so much!

This amazing cupboard was also in the shop and difficult to get a light pic of because there is so much sunshine in this room so this pic is via my Instagram after I filtered it but I adore this cupboard and think I subconsciously covered it in the shop because I had no desire to ever sell it... and my husband would divorce me if I told him to move it...and of course #2 of the Vintage horses I have. I'm slowly building a mini herd :)

The new shop has been amazing. One of those things you work so hard for, stress over everything being beautiful, and is truly a labor of love. While I will probably never give up shows because I love that lifestyle of traveling and junking across the US, I really love having a bigger home base and bay windows! I've never been more affectionate towards bay windows than the 2 at my new location!!

Shameful Really....

It's been so long....I mean so long it's almost embarrasing! Of course it's been busy but honestly it's been so long because google changed the blog format and it wouldn't allow me to upload pics so I pretended it was a non-issue :) Sorry my bad! But for those who are still hanging in there here's what has been going on....
(Mini Boot Section of Shop)

In April we headed out to the infamous Texas Antique Week (AKA Round Top) and set up at Zapp Hall. As always it's tons of fun and there are so many talented people there that you come back flooded with new ideas and inspiration. Of course the Junky Gypsies are there along with Rodeo Royalty which had an amazing Gypsy Wagon...(I Die!) and many others.

(Jewelry in Shop)

Right after that we held The Vintage Prom which was a benefit for our local Women's Shelter which went off amazingly well! Such a great night and the community was amazing in their support!

I would wear that Teal Petticoat every day if I could!

Paris Couture Antiques

If you have a moment today stop by and see Paris Couture Antiques on Etsy...their stuff is beyond gorgeous. They have some of the most interesting and beautiful antiques I've seen in awhile.
To wet your appetitie....

(There are enough crowns to dress the Royal Family!)

These were just a few of the almost 1,300 items she has for sale! I swear if I lived close to this wonderful shop owner I would force her to be my best friend :) Her entire store is like looking a beautiful museum.

More Junking

Took me awhile but I finally made my way back for the rest of the photos :)  Between Work...a 2yr old and the hundreds of projects I have assigned myself the only time I can remember the entire "To Do" list is right before bed time but I have been working on alot of pieces that I need to share too.

ok...to the junk...this little chair was only $35! I almost died!

So this little monstrosity is in the midst of a makeover, it has great bones and should be an easy recover..I'm thinking about using duckcloth and then stenciling on the back of the seat.
I HOPE to have it done by Saturday for a local antique market yard sale and so far it looks better with just the hideous fabric, or should I say plastic off ...

This is one of my favorites. It was covered in dust but came with the tureen, platter and even had the lid with no cracks or chips. Just made me happy!

Enough about my new love...this little bottle is worth a mention too. I have never seen one with a crown top and thought it was the best $2 ever spent, hands down!

Great pair of Angel Wings (One for Etsy too!)

This little table I already painted a pale blue (it was originally just wood) but it has a great swag detail which is kind of hard to make out in the picture-

Detail of the Swag
Well it's off to paint more furniture and bed!
Have a great evening~
